50% Motor Load Savings with V-MAX and Rotor Combo

Energy costs continue to rise year after year and is one of the largest expenses in the pulp and paper industry. Tell you something you don't already know, right? Well here's one way you can reduce the hit.

If you are running drilled cylinders with OEM rotors (typically NS drum style rotors and/or foil rotors) in your coarse positions, J&L can reduce your energy usage by 40 - 50% with our V-Coarse Combo Conversion Package.

Converting a drilled coarse screen to J&L's V-MAX has proven to reduce energy by 20-25% time and time again, however additional energy reduction will be gained with adding a NoName rotor from J&L for a combination benefit of 40-50% reduction. Additional benefits or our combo package include:

  • Increased capacity up to 20-45%

  • Styrofoam removal up to 95% efficiency

  • Yield improvement

  • 30% stickies reduction in the accept flow

  • Increased energy reduction with the rotor and screen 40 to 50%

If you are already running a J&L V-MAX in a coarse position, you can experience additional savings of 20 - 25% by adding a J&L NoName rotor, a customized rotor engineered specifically for your application, hence the NoName.
