68'' long halibut, 163 pounds. Caught at Skidegate Point, Queen Charlotte Islands in the summer of 2004. It took an hour and 5 minutes to get to the boat before we harpooned it. That is me in the orange bibs. The rod my buddy Brad is holding is only a prop!!

Funniest quote, "I'm not a killer! My very first fishing trip was just a month ago and here’s my very first fish (me in the middle) a 32 lb salmon caught off the west coast of Vancouver Island. I think it was a Coho. Over 30 lbs makes it a “Tyee”.

I have asked my customers for their photos but at this time of the year I think they are all out killing things."

Bruce Burlison
Weyerhaeuser Paper Mill - Albany, OR

Here is a picture of my latest trophy from La Paz Mexico. I caught this Wahoo in February on a two day fishing and one day whale watching adventure. We figured that it weighed about 60lbs. And boy is it good eating. I try to fish at least once a year with a fishing guide from Mexico. I found the best guide in La Paz. Look under tortugasportfishing.com and book a trip, tell them Bruce Burlison set you. My neighbor took the picture of me when we finally landed it.
