The Stabilizer design is a uni-directional design which has led to improved motor load stability, improved feeding and steam handling,
increased throughput, reduced specific energy consumption, reduced shive content, and/or improved pulp strength properties in many different applications.
The constant angle of the Stabilizer plate leads to a constant pumping action of the fiber and steam through the refiner, leading to a more stable refiner operation and more uniform pulp quality.
Most Stabilizer designs have a shallow pumping angle (3-7°), which ensures preservation of fiber length and pulp strength.
